Mr. Alesker is a principal and founder of Alesker & Dundon Architects. He has extensive experience in hotel, historic rehabilitation, and residential construction as well as commercial and institutional projects. He performs programming, preliminary design and planning functions with the firm, and generally guides projects from inception to completed buildings.
Mr. Alesker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia (1958) and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania (1960). Mr. Alesker is a registered architect in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Florida and Delaware and holds the N.C.A.R.B. Certificate. He served on the board of the Foundation for Architecture.
Since the formation of his own firm in 1969, he has specialized in multi-family housing and hotel design as well as historical restoration and adaptive re-use. Among the many projects designed by Mr. Alesker are:
The $70,000,000, 28 building Sagamore Resort on Lake George near the Town of Bolton, NY.
The conversion of the 5 building Bergdoll Brewery in Philadelphia into a mixed-use community of 102 rental apartments as well as town houses and offices.
The conversion of the Historic Pier 3 and 5 on Penns Landing in Philadelphia into 268 apartments, marina, office retail and restaurant use.
Numerous other new and reused buildings for residential, hotel, office, restaurant, and retail purpose.

World Trade Square at Penns Landing in Philadelphia, 3 million square foot mixed-use development of office, apartment, retail and entertainment uses.
Big Tupper, a community of 450 town homes centered on Tupper Lake and Big Tupper ski are in northern New York State.
Little Belt Place, a cluster of eight town homes in the Queen Village section of Philadelphia.
7th and Catharine Street Homes, a community of 12 town homes in The Bella Vista section of Philadelphia, centered around a federal period church which is being converted by the firm into six condominium apartments.
He has written and spoken publicly on the subjects of historic preservation, hotel design and the construction process.
John H. Dundon, AIA

Mr. Dundon has been with the firm since 1969 and has been an associate since 1972. He joined Mr. Alesker as a principal of the firm in 1984. His early experience includes work in Montreal on Habitat ?67 and in Israel on major projects. For several years, he has been a Professor at Drexel University in both the Nesbit School of Design and the Evening College.
During his association with Alesker & Dundon Architects, he has been responsible for the programming, design, project management and construction administration of numerous projects involving a wide variety of building types.
Mr. Dundon graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with both a Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture Degree. The following are some projects for which Mr. Dundon was architect:
The Kutztown University field house addition and renovations. Winner of the PA state Art Commission Design Award for excellence. The project was built for 3% below the budget.
The Hershey Hotel, Corpus Christi, Texas. An 18 story, 474 room hotel with convention and banquet facilities, restaurants, bar nightclub, a 380 car parking garage and ground floor retail space.
The Pocono Hershey Hotel. An 80-guestroom addition to an existing hotel. This work included site redesign, new meeting rooms and a new cocktail lounge.
The Brewery House, Philadelphia, PA. Working within rigid historic renovation guidelines, an old Brewery building was renovated into unique and spacious condominiums, each with private gardens.
The Port of History Museum on Penn?s Landing on the waterfront in Philadelphia. A 60,000 square foot exhibition building with a 550-seat theater.
The Pine Barrens Golf Club Clubhouse, Jackson Township, NJ. A new 7,500 square foot golf clubhouse building containing a restaurant, snack bar, bar, kitchen, pro shop, locker rooms and expansive screened porches overlooking a new 18-hole golf course. The building has a dramatic exposed Adirondack like pole structure and shingled exterior.
The Pine Hill Golf Club Clubhouse in Pine Hill, NJ. A new 43,000 square foot facility with banquet, restaurant, kitchen, pro-shop and locker facilities. Public facilities have dramatic views of the Philadelphia skyline.

Born in 1933 and now residing in Ardmore, PA. Mr. Lundy attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He had been working in the field of Architecture since 1957 with Virginia firms before coming with Alesker & Dundon Architects in 1981.
Mr. Lundy is in charge of architectural documentation, specifications and construction administration for Alesker & Dundon Architects. He is familiar with Masterspec, Spec-Tex, the Specsintact System, Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC and VA Specification Systems and related government rules and regulations. He has been project manager for Maintenance and Repair (MARIP) and Improvement (AFHIP) projects at NAVFAC Argentina, Newfoundland (233 units) and NAVFAC Keflavik, Iceland (712 units) as well as specifications for the dual Purpose Civil Air Terminal at Keflavik Iceland and other projects for NAVFAC, The Corps of Engineers and the Veterans Administration, and the Federal Aviation Agency.
In addition to his government housing experience, Mr. Lundy has served as project manager and specification writer for numerous privately developed housing project as follows:
Pier 5, Philadelphia, PA - The rehabilitation of an historically certified Pier on the Delaware River into 96 luxury multi-story apartments arranged in two tiers around a central atrium. Completed in 1990.
Fitlers Walk Town Homes, Philadelphia, PA - 54 town homes and apartments around a secure urban courtyard. The buildings are designed as 2 story town houses over flats, all set upon a landscaped platform with 96 garage spaces below. Completed in 1989.
The Brewery, Philadelphia, PA - The rehabilitation of four historically certified buildings into 132 rental apartments and the design of 101 new town homes. Completed in 1985.
Pier 3, Philadelphia, PA - The rehabilitation of a historically certified Pier on the Delaware River into 172 luxury apartments. The project includes an open interior courtyard, 45,000 square feet of restaurant retail space and parking or 172 cars. Completed in 1985
The cottages at Sagamore, Bolton New York - 180 condominium apartments in three story buildings on hillside sites. Completed in 1985.
The Rittenhouse, Philadelphia, PA - a 33 story luxury hotel and condominium complex, with 352 guest rooms, ballroom, meeting rooms, bars, restaurants, health club, 104 condominium apartments on the top 14 floors, and a 159 car parking garage. Completion 1990.
Parking Garage for Lehigh University Performance Art Center - a 2 story 250 car parking garage with precast concrete double tees and precast concrete columns and beams.
Mr. Farabaugh is a graduate of Drexel University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree (2000). He joined Alesker & Dundon in 1993. Since then Mr. Farabaugh has worked on diverse project types including, commercial, residential, institutional, and hospitality/entertainment. He works in the conceptual design and construction documentation phases of the projects with the firm.
Mr. Farabaugh has an extensive background in CAD management, computer design, and presentation for the firm. He is proficient with creating computer models and renderings, as well as the coordination of documents through the internet and local network for a project.
Before joining Alesker and Dundon Architects, Mr.Farabaugh worked with a local firm in Philadelphia. As an intern he was involved in several notable projects such as, First Union Center in Philadephia PA, Camden Yards in Baltimore MD, Gateway Arena in Ohio, and a renovation to Drexel University.

The Residences at World Trade Square, Philadelphia, PA. A 42-story luxury rental apartment building with 396 one, two, and three bedroom apartments, as part of a mixed use office, retail and conference complex.
The Twelve Caesars Hilton Hotel, Philadelphia, PA. A new 11-story, 209 room hotel ,connected to and integrated with the existing Twelve Caesars convention center. The new building contains the lobby, front desk services, meeting rooms, pool, and health club. The existing building includes the rehabilitation of the conference center and the construction of new restaurant bar, theater and administrative offices.
Stout Road Student Apartments, Philadelphia, PA. A 21-story apartment building designed for a student market. The building will contain 170 apartments of 2 - 4 person suites and studios. Shared spaces within the building include a laundry-lounge, a study hall, and recreation room.
The Samuel P. Mandell Science Building for Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, PA. A new 60,000 square foot laboratory and classroom building containing offices, laboratories and classrooms for the college, and research and animal experimental facilities for a related research and teaching program managed by Thomas Jefferson University. Completed in 1999
